Bio

Paul has devoted his career over the last 15 years to defending licensed healthcare providers and facilities. Paul is a battle-tested trial attorney who has tried numerous medical malpractice, elder abuse/neglect and wrongful death cases to a verdict, with a stellar track record. Paul is licensed to practice in all the state courts of Arizona (2009) and New Mexico (2016), as well as in the United States District Courts for the Districts of Arizona and New Mexico (2009 and 2018 respectively), The United States Court of Appeals For the Ninth Circuit (2016), as well as the United States Supreme Court (2017), where he was sworn in by Chief Justice John Roberts.

Paul was nominated by his peers in the legal community as a “Rising Star” in the area of medical malpractice defense by Southwest Super Lawyers (top 2.5% of attorneys under age 40) for seven consecutive years (2014-2020), was named as one of the “Top 40 Litigation Lawyers in Arizona Under 40” by The American Society of Legal Advocates in 2016, and was featured in the article “Young Guns” in the May 2012 issue of Attorney At Law magazine. In 2017, Paul was selected as an Associate Fellow in The Litigation Counsel of America (LCA), a network of the top 3,500 trial lawyers in the country. Paul has been rated by Martindale-Hubbell as “AV Preeminent”, and “Superb” by Avvo.com; both of which are the highest possible ratings available.

Paul regularly volunteers his services in the community by performing pro bono legal work for victims of domestic violence, and by participating in the Channel 12 News “Lawyers on Call” through the State Bar of Arizona, and by serving as a competition judge and evaluator at the Richard Oplinger Closing Argument Competition at the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University. When he is not practicing law, Paul enjoys spending time with his beautiful wife Heather, and their two daughters.
