Denise is a registered nurse with over 30 years of adult and pediatric: intensive care, trauma, burn, emergency, and surgical nursing as well as experience in employee health, infection control, compliance, and risk management. Additionally, she has served in a number of leadership roles over the past 20 years.
As a licensed attorney, since 2010, she has represented health care providers before licensing boards, represented health care facilities in administrative hearings, represented providers during fact witness depositions and in court testimony, and written appellate briefs.
Denise is a published author and has presented regionally and nationally on a variety of topics ranging from health care law, ethics, compliance, risk management, and nursing. As an adjunct professor at Ottawa University (bachelor’s level), the University of Phoenix (master’s level – nursing), and Grand Canyon University she taught college classes focusing on health law and ethics and business law and ethics.
Her past volunteer work focused primarily on children in foster care at Arizonans for Children, Inc. (Tempe, AZ) and previously at Christian Family Care (Phoenix, AZ).
